2019-20 Winter Shooting Academy

MISSION: To provide quality instruction in all aspects of basketball with an emphasis on fundamentals and skill development.

Program Details
Grades:

3rd - 12th for Boys & Girls

Only 16 spots available!
Dates & Times:

Thursday Evenings: December 12, 19; January 9, 16, 23, 30

Times: 6:00 - 7:00pm (6 sessions)
Curriculum:

This program is designed to emphasize proper technique for shooting form, body position, balance and footwork at each session.

Additionally, each week will focus on the following areas:

  • Week 1: Spot-up shooting, Pull-up off the dribble, Form
  • Week 2: Ball fake pull-up, Fastbreak pull-up, Relocate Shooting - Draw & Kick
  • Week 3: Shooting off of Screens (away from the ball), Attacking the basket, Relocate Shooting - Post
  • Week 4: Shooting off of Screens (on ball), Flare Shooting, Relocate Shooting - Draw & Kick
  • Weeks 5-6: Emphasize the fundamentals/Skills learned in weeks 1-4
Coaches:
  • Jeff Fryer - Former College and Pro Player, former High School and College Coach, current record holder for most 3 point field goals made in an NCAA Tournament game with 11 made 3’s vs. Michigan in 1990
  • Connor Kennedy - FBA Director of basketball operations, former college player at Vanguard University
